Canada Immigration - Plan, Be Prepared And Have Fun
Moving to Canada is a great experience and although it can be a little nerve-wracking
and to a certain extent, tiresome, the end achievement - setting up and living a whole new life in Canada - is something which most people find to be enough of an incentive and focus point to get them through.
Furthermore, with the correct planning and preparation, the whole process can in fact run relatively smoothly and hassle free.
From the Canada immigration visa application process to arranging for somewhere to live whilst you find your feet in the new country, planning can do wonders for your move.
The problem is that people tend to plan extensively and intensely for everything that needs to be done up and until they jump on the aeroplane for good and then with the exception of arranging temporary, rented accommodation for them to go to when they land, they don't look in the same way at what they need to do once they depart the aeroplane and are on their way to their house.
What you have to remember is that the first weeks that you're in Canada and are spending it in rented accommodation are likely to be some of the most stressful but most enjoyable of your entire residency.
The reason that they will be stressful is somewhat obvious - having all of your belongings with you in boxes in a place where you are only living temporarily until you find a place to buy is enough to drive anyone to distraction after only a few days.
When you first go somewhere new on holiday, the first day is usually spent getting your bearings of the local area and finding out where the shops and supermarkets are, as well as discovering which way is the best route to the beach or city centre.
When you move to Canada, you get exactly this same feeling of excitement and intrepidness, but on a considerably larger scale.
Yes, you'll be looking for where the closest shop is and what's the quickest way to get to and from the main centre of the city or town, but you've also got to discover clothes shops, furniture shops, DIY shops - everything you took for granted back home, you have to look for again.
And then there's the fact that you'll need to start registering with organisations and services such as banks, so you can setup a bank account to have your salary paid into it and insurance companies to cover you in respect of everything from your home and contents to your health and your car usage.
Canada immigration is not something that happens overnight and it also isn't something that you can generally do easily with only a small amount of planning.
But, if you can spend the time going through the processes and procedures step-by-step, making sure you have all eventualities covered and a life setup for you in Canada as best as possible for you to simply walk into, there's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy every part of Canada immigration.
