Kidney stones are a hard mass that are formed in your kidneys. Kidney stones are one of the most painful urologic disorders in humans. Unlike years ago, most of the procedures can be done without opening the patient up. One option would be laser treatment. This will break the stone into smaller pieces making it easier to pass through your body. Once the stones have moved out, your doctor will ask you to save the stone so that it can be sent off for testing. It may tell the doctor what has caused your stones but it may not indicate anything.

Drinking plenty of water can prevent kidney stones from forming in the future. If you were able to get a diagnosis from the tested stone then medication will also help prevent them in the future.
