I have been watching the campaigns and not once did I hear any speak on not reducing the pardon application fee. But anyways, it is safe to say that because of the election bill C-23B has been put on hold. Let's hope for a new government and the new guy drops the bill.
I am confident that Jack Layton and his NDP party will continue to fight this bill if it stays alive. I enourage everyone to email their concerns and on how it will impact a lot of people's lives if the fee is raised to $631 and the renaming the pardon to "record suspension."
Which ever government is in, they need to learn how to separate everyone and let people have their fair chance for a 2nd chance. personally, categorizing everyone the same as the James Grahams and Karla Homolka's is just not right.
