Cancun Real Estate's Positive Image Reflected Through Activities To Promote The Area

While image isn't everything, it counts for a lot when you're considering make a real estate investment, or buying a home away from home

. For this reason it is important that Cancun Real Estate currently presents a strong image of luxury, relaxation and convenience - all of which reflects the reality of life in Cancun. It is also important to know that various national organizations are taking care to promote and build on this image for both the Cancun Real Estate and tourism industries.

The National Tourist Business Council (CNET) considers it a priority to promote Cancun and Mexico's image abroad, said the president of the Cancun Hotel Association, Rodrigo de la Pea Segura. During a CNET meeting in October, the need was emphasized to design proper strategies to promote, strengthen their organizations through the implementation of a coordinated effort.

Along the same lines, in the middle of October the Cancun presented a series of activities to promote the benefits for tourism and real estate in the area.

The agenda includes a high-level cycling competition with participants from Spain, Argentina, and Mexico. Before the competition, the cyclists enjoyed a visit to the near-by Xel-ha ecopark; near Cancun there are several top-notch ecoparks, such as Xel-ha and Xcaret, which not only offer attractions for tourists, but many activities for residents to enjoy.

Also several residential resorts will be opening in the state of Quintana Roo. In the middle of the second week of October, the hotel Dreams Cancun, in the near-by town of Puerto Morelos will be opening. Grand Coral Riviera Maya, one of the most attractive resorts of the Mexican Caribbean, opens its door during the same days. Both of these events serve to reflect the Cancun area's positive image and strength of its tourism industry - a positive sign for Cancun real estate, since a strong tourism industry means a strong economy, and continued excellence in services and infrastructure.

"Cancun Travel Mart Mexico Summit" XXII began during the same week at the Cancun Center, likewise promoting tourism. Another event near the end of October is opening of the second runway at the airport in Cancun will be celebrated, creating even easier and faster access to and from home from your home country. President Felipe Calderon is expected to attend this event.

The new promotion is meant to support the positive reflection of reality of life in Cancun, and to counter the negative images projected through the media. Of course, many people considering visiting or living in Mexico might be concerned about reports of violence and other problems in the media. While these incidences do occur, the media often does not mention that the vast majority of crime is associated with drug related activities, and are usually limited to those involved in these circles. Visitors and non-Mexican residents who do not involve themselves in these activities are no more likely to be victims of the crimes associated with it than in their home countries.
