Canon Wins Awards For Office Supplies

These days there is a huge range of manufactures to choose from when buying office supplies for your company.

For example, Canon recently picked up accolades for a number of its office supplies, with six outstanding achievement titles in the Buyers Laboratory (BLI) Environmental Test Reports.

Four of the firm's devices secured the honour on the basis of their energy efficiency.

Indeed, commenting on the topic, BLI's European research and lab manager David Sweetnam said: "For many consumers today, energy efficiency is just as important as productivity and reliability.

"The key factor in the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5035i's environmental performance was its very low sleep-mode energy usage, resulting in significant projected annual energy savings.

Canon also picked up awards for its portable scanner and its document scanning software.

Talking about one of the successful devices, BLI test technician Joe Ellerman said it is easy to use and leaves a smaller environmental footprint than many of its rival products.

It is certainly the case that a lot of companies - no matter how big or small - are choosing to be more conscious about the energy efficiency of the office stationery items and other products they purchase for their working environments.

As well as having benefits for the planet, this can also save them a considerable amount of money over the long term thanks to reduced energy consumption.
