Cap d'Agde Swinging Resort

Most people probably think that nudists and swingers are one and the same thing

, this isn't the case and the recent goings on at Cap d'Agde, on the Languedoc coast, which is home to the Village Naturiste / Naturist swingers or "naked city" - Europe's largest nudist holiday colony just goes to prove how different these two "lifestyles" are.

The sedate nudists have been waging war on the newcomers and so called "libertines" who they say have spoilt their once sedate nudist beach and the rise of sex clubs in the area, which have been frequently attacked by arsonists with the blame being put at the door of the nudists.

It all came to a head recently at the local town meeting with the nudists complaining that their peaceful way of life had been disrupted by the exhibitionist and voyeuristic ways of the swingers who would indulge in sex acts in public even if there were children of the nudists there. The "libertine swingers" would even poke fun at the nudists and many even wore clothes to further infuriate the nudists.

"Normal" residents of the town of Cap d'Agde have also complained that this influx of swinger clubs and raunchy hotels on their doorstep has caused problems away from the coast in non-nudist areas.

Village Naturiste is a fully contained and fenced off area with apartments, camp site, a hotel, beach, marina, bars, shops and even its own post office & bank, where everyone can live naked and separate to the main town.

However in recent years more and more naturist swingers have invaded, opening up their own sex clubs and hotels completely changing the idyllic village for those who do not swing but just want to live their lives as nature intended, unclothed, not by having wild sex parties and acting like "complete animals".

At present there is no resolution to stop the swingers or libertines using this part of the town and it would seem that the town enjoys the commercial success of the raunchier side of things and is not willing to step into the dispute. So it remains to be seen if swingers and nudists can live side by side peacefully!
