Polystyrene is a type of thermoform polymerized styrene plastic. It comes in a few flavors with regards to its density and, together with PET (polyethylene terephthalate), is the most widely used style of plastic today. While styrene is naturally seen in nature, polystyrene becomes commercially significant by chemical modification and polymerization of styrene.
