Ponytail palm

A beautiful Palm that is native to the semi-desert areas of Mexico. It is also known as the elephant foot and bottle palm. It is in fact a succulent and the elephant foot like structure on the base of its stem is where the water for droughts is stored. A hardy plant which will thrive better if you just plant it at the right location and forget it.

Plant it in partially sandy soil.

Place it in direct sunlight.

Water once in a week or two weeks thoroughly.

Bamboo Palm

The bamboo palm is a beautiful houseplant native to the tropics of Central America.

Do not expose it to direct sunlight.

Prune near-dead branches on a regular basis.

The soil should be well drained and sandy.

Let the soil dry between waterings. The plant has high drought tolerance.
