Finally, you obtained the job you deserve, where you can accommodate all your exclusive

skills! Now you stop worrying, you can relax, everything you should do is to work, to do what you can do. You are paid very well; you finally reached the career level you wanted. You work for some time and then start noticing that your job is not so exciting, you get tired soon, you are not skilful enough (that new guy knows more than you), finally, your boss is dissatisfied. What is happening?

No room for relaxation in any career

Well, this case shows that one cannot relax and stop developing oneself. It is important to remember that no matter how good one is, time goes by and something new is constantly invented; and if a person is not up-to-date he/she can fail in his/her career. Thus, it is essential to continue learning, gaining new knowledge, in order to solve new coming difficulties. Finally, one should always move on, never stop at what has been accomplished, this also concerns career promotion.

When one starts working he/she should make up his/her own career plan, which will define major goals and some deadlines. One should also bear in mind that this planning will be useful not only for graduates but people who have working experience and just recently changed the job. First of all, such plan must contain aims and then absolutely definite steps which lead to the aims.

For instance, here is one of the ways of planning: one defines the area he/she wants to develop his/her career, then this person notes the highest position he/she would like to obtain, after that he/she notes all the positions which are between his/her present position and the highest one, and finally, defines the knowledge and skills he/she is to use (or obtain if necessary) to go up the career ladder.

Finally, the deadlines are very important, since you will be restricted in time and will not afford being relaxed.
