Carrie Underwood Makes Sure Family Is Part Of Wedding From Ringbearer To Matron Of Honor

The Carrie Underwood wedding was a touching event and she and her new husband Mike Fisher made the moment exclusively about Family

. In most celebrity weddings since their nuptials we often hear of fellow celebrities being a major part of the guest lists. The new Mr. and Mrs. Fisher decided instead to be more traditional and keep the ceremony about close families and friends.

The wedding was a challenge for Ms. Underwood since she originally wanted a small ceremony. However, her husband Mr. Fisher has a large family which made it necessary to have a bigger ceremony. This didn't stop the couple how had their wedding at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort. It reportedly cost 200,000 dollars just to house guests there.

The couple also made it important to have just family and friends as members of the bridal party. As you have probably seen in the magazines you don't see many celebrities in the audience or the bridal party. Ms. Underwood, bridal party included her sisters, and the wife of one of her touring band members who is also a close friend. She also had the support of her mother Carole in her office as mother of the bride. This sense of family also extended to the flower girl and ring bearer. The ring bearer was Ms. Underwood's nephew Max Means and the flower girl was Mike Fisher's young cousin Hanna Robinson. The two were an adorable pair with young Mr. Means in a white on white sailor suit and Ms. Robinson wore a lovely white frock with a tulle skirt and a satin sash graced floral fastening. Including the next generation in your wedding in the office of ring bearer and flower girl is an age old wedding tradition and it is great to see that it was honored in a celebrity wedding.

The couple found other ways to keep the wedding preparations in the family. The cupcake tower that served as the newlywed's wedding cake was made by brides made and friend Ivey Childers, owner of Ivey Cake bakery in Franklin Tennessee. She is the wife of one of Ms. Underwood's band mates. The cupcake tower has become a much talked about aspect of the wedding and will likely be a major trend for wedding cakes this year.
