Where can you find Castors in the front of the restaurant? What about the food carts. Now lets move to the walk in freezers and coolers. These units typically have portable racks that are equipped with Castors. All of the produce and restaurant products meant to be kept at a cold temperature are stored on these racks. Again, the purpose of the wheels is for ease of pulling out for cleaning. When these racks had to be emptied and pulled out manually, it was a difficult process that affected the efficiency of the operation.

Other areas of the restaurant where Castors are utilized are in the food prep areas and dish washing facilities. There are always tables and other equipment that have wheels so that they can be moved. Little things like the mop bucket now have wheels for ease of movement. Trash cans have wheels to make it easier to roll them to the dumpster. Even the dumpster has wheels. Without these tiny little amazing wheels, the restaurant would not operate with such efficiency.
