Causes And Resolutions For Ntfs Boot Sector Damage

Partition Boot Sector comprises of critical information used by MBR (Master Boot Record) to boot an NTFS (New Technology File System) partition

. This first sector of NTFS partition consists of various entries used at the time of booting. These entries get modified or changed when the Boot Sector gets damaged. Once the Boot Sector gets corrupted, the NTFS partition becomes unbootable, resulting in inaccessibility of all the files/folders saved in NTFS partition. In such cases, data saved in the NTFS partition can be accessed by restoring it from an updated backup. This allows you to overcome the above error messages, but also deletes the data from the NTFS hard drive partition.
