Cellulean - 5 Reasons Why You May Have Cellulite Skin
Cellulite skin - everyone hates it
Cellulite skin - everyone hates it. The only thing worse than seeing your thighs looking like orange peels is seeing someone else's looking nice and smooth. Why are some people lucky - or is it even luck? If you've ever wondered why you have been so blessed to have cellulite thighs, then just read on. Here are 5 possible reasons why you may hate the thought of wearing shorts:
1 - Sedentary lifestyle - all that time spent in front of a computer, behind a desk, and/or on the sofa staring at the TV can be a major contributor to your cellulite. Being sedentary slows down all bodily systems and makes them work more inefficiently. One result is that toxins will tend to remain in the body longer, and will contribute to the formation of cellulite skin.
2 - Genetics - OK, here's your chance to blame Mom, Grandma, and all the other folks who have contributed to your gene pool. Best of all, if you know that there is a history of cellulite development in your family, then you can stop beating yourself over the fact that your lifestyle may be the main cause. Of course, if the family history is there, your lifestyle might be contributing to making a bad situation even worse.
3 - Smoking - If you're not a smoker, you can go on to the next item on the list. If you are a smoker, you are quite likely to be very aware of the health problems that smoking can cause. In this situation, it is harmful to the elasticity of the skin, and can damage the underlying connective tissues, thereby worsening your cellulite problem.
4 - Diet - We are all very aware of how an unhealthy diet can cause all sorts of medical problems. If you consume a lot of empty calories, especially from refined carbohydrates and fats, you will definitely contribute to a worsening of cellulite.
5 - Medications - There are many instances where a medication to help control one problem can end up contributing to another. In the case of cellulite, birth control pills are known to enlarge fat cells and make them spread. They also tend to keep toxins in the body by contributing to water retention.
So there you have it. You can't control your genetics, but you can consult with your doctor to make sure that you are not taking any medications that contribute to additional development of cellulite skin. You can, however, do something to overcome a sedentary lifestyle (hint - it's called exercise and physical activity). Finally, smoking and diet are key factors in cellulite production, and these are areas that you do have control over. Accept what you can't control, but do your best to
overcome those factors that you can control.
