Health is the most important thing in a person's life. It is very important to stay fit and healthy, because without health man becomes dependent on others. There are times when we go through health crisis and we need someone to help us with our problem. What comes to your mind when you fall ill?Whenever we fall ill the first thing that comes to our mind is a doctor. Some people in this world go through illness after which they become incapable of doing their work themselves. Examples of such people include the aged people of our country, the disabled and the handicapped. Certified nursing assistants help such people and make their life easier. CNAs are hired for looking after such people. They are responsible for the patient's hygiene, diet, toileting, interests and medicines. The nursing assistants are also responsible of the security and safety of the patient. They take care of the patients just as if they are new born babies and they can't do anything on their own, they can't even take a single step alone. A certified nursing assistant needs to be well trained and practiced. She/he should also have knowledge about medicine. Registered nurses or licensed practical nurses supervise nursing assistants. Nursing assistants work at hospitals, adult's day care, nursing homes and even personal homes.If we look at this post as career then the demand for CNAs is very high. This is because the life span of people is increasing. There are many elderly people around and they need someone to help them with their daily routine. Looking at this job as a social work then ethically it's a nice work CNAs are doing. Helping the disabled is a good habit. Spending time helping others is a remarkable job in today's selfish world.CNA's are given cna training before they are hired for work. These trainings include the information about how to help the patients eat, dress up and lift ups. The trainee also gives information about certain allergies that a patient might catch and how to treat them immediately. Classes about treating depression are also given to the students because most of the people who are disabled face depression and anxiety. A certified nursing assistant is not only a nurse that does her work professionally; she/he treats the patients like a friend or maybe even someone closer than that. Usually patients develop sense of caring and importance towards their nurses. The patient and the nurse play together, they even talk about each other's problems so naturally and they develop sympathy and care for each other. This is not an easy job as it requires a lot of stamina and patience. The job gets too hectic at times. There are times when the patients are hard to handle. In the beginning when dealing with a new patient is hard, it takes time to understand the patient and develop understanding with them. Therefore a CNA is very active and health wise fit.
