Porsche is synonymous with Performance cars. The brand is know all over the world. They have produced some of the worlds best sports cars and are many peoples dream car.

The company was founded as Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche. Initially an automotive consultancy, it did not initially produce its vehicles under its own name. Ferdinand Porsche is also credited with designing the first Volkswagen

The Porsche 356 was Porsches first production car manufactured from 1948 to 1965 producing about 76,000 units. The 911 however is its flagship model.

The 911 was the all new replacement for the Porsche 356. The 911 can trace its roots back to sketches drawn by Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche in 1959.

Original called the Porsche 901 Peugot argued they had the rights to to sell cars in France with three digit names with a zero in the middle. Porsche essentially backed down, changed the nomenclature and the legendary 911 was born

Although Porsche internally changes the headings for its models, all 911 models were and are currently sold as a "911".

The 911 is a rear engined, rear wheel drive 2 door configuration. Engines are a boxer configuration and aircooled.

Porsche has a huge loyal following of owners and enthusiasts, from drivers of modern Porsches, older classic and motorsport participation.
