Charitable Christmas Party Organisers Working In Their Local Community
In the spirit of giving this Christmas, many Christmas party organisers have given proceeds to local and national charities
. One set of party organisers went that little bit further, as pupils from Queen St. Annes school invited over 50 local senior citizens to a Christmas party they were holding.
The Christmas party was organised by the schools charities group, a group of sixth formers devoted to working in their local community. As part of their charity work, they visit the local residential homes to provide support and assistance. This year, the charity group decided to go that little further and provide an afternoon of entertainment and food in the midst Christmas season. With Christmas carols, mince pies and a display from the dance troupe, the residents were pleased with their afternoon.
The spirit of Christmas is to give to others in the community, whether it be a donation or organising an event for others. Even though economic circumstances have meant cut backs for many, it is vital that we do as much as we can in our community, especially in the Christmas period which is hard financially for many. You can get involved in your local community in many ways; it does not necessarily mean you have to donate a large sum of money. Just like the Charities group from Queen St. Annes, you can help your local community.
So how can you give to your community? Many products and events, such as corporate shared Christmas parties, give a certain amount of their profits to charities. Meaning that every time, you purchase a service or product, you are also contributing towards a charity. Many charities now offer for a fixed price, team building days where colleagues can attune their communication and group work skills, whilst also doing good for their community.
You can also get more actively involved by organising events for residents in your local community or attending a charitable event. You can also obviously support local charities by giving a donation, joining up or buying their produce/ products for sale.
