Demand for airline seats to Puerto Vallarta increased 4.2% in October 2010 compared to October 2009, according to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP), which manages Puerto Vallarta's airport. This confirms a strong seasonal recovery from the 2009 H1N1 influenza scare. However, year-to-date 2010 passenger traffic to Puerto Vallarta is still running 2% below 2009 because of the very slow start during the first half of 2010.
