Cheap Gaming Consoles And Accessories Vs Reliable Brands

Buying a gaming console like the Nintendo Wii

, the Microsoft X-Box or the Sony PSP can be exciting.

While it is understandable that budget can be an issue, let me tell you my experience with the cheap console I purchased from a store selling such products. However, I am not going to name the product I purchased or refer to the store I purchased it from.

While my friends enjoyed on their PSPs and Nintendo consoles, I wanted to buy something similar. The one that struck me as awesome was the Nintendo console that I saw with one of my friends. Though it seemed to be the best option at that point of time, I was running out of money as I was on a tight budget. So I started shopping around for a cheaper option.

Finally I found the device that I was looking for in one of the stores in our vicinity. It was incredibly cheap and offered almost all the features that the Nintendo device was offering. I immediately decided to purchase it. The storekeeper warned me that it had no warranty and would not be replaced if things went wrong (as things may often go wrong with products from even the best electronic brands). He showed me how the device worked through a full demo, and I immediately decided to purchase it.

The only drawback that I found was that it came with very little internal memory. You could however use a memory card to the device to compensate for this. The best part was that it was compatible to use the memory cards that were used for the other brands, like the cheap r4 card for Nintendo. The option of using a cheap r4 card external storage was a good one because these cards were very reliable and my friends had been using them since a long time.

I finally purchased the device along with the cheap r4 card.

Initially the choice seemed to be just perfect for me. The device was may be a bit slow for the high end games that could be played on the Nintendo, but was excellent otherwise. I became addicted to playing games on my console just like my friends and was quite happy but just for a week!

The device stopped working it would simply freeze every 5 minutes. I took it to the store and they advised me to get it checked with the local service centre. The man at the store told me that it was probably the cheap r4 card that needed replacing. I did as visited but found out otherwise. The r4 card was perfectly all right. It worked on three other devices while other cards showed the same problem on my device.

Therefore, it was the console that was to blame! I could never get it fixed and had to wait till I could save enough money to purchase the Nintendo console. I still have the cheap r4 card working fine. Its all about how reliable the product you purchase turns out to be not how cheap or expensive it is!
