The average consumer can buy cheap tvs everywhere nowadays

. Generic-brand televisions are in almost every store a buyer shops in. Whether they are shopping in a discount store or a hardware store, they will find cheap televisions. The internet is full of companies claiming they sell the cheapest television available.

These televisions come in all sizes, from the very small, 9-10 inches, to the very large, 95 to 103 inches. 19 inch to 39 inch LCD tvs seem to be the favorite size. 32 inch to 52 inch are probably the most popular size for the widescreen.

They are made to hang on walls, set on tables, or sit on the floor. Some televisions are widescreen while others are the regular fullscreen model. Some are flat screen, while others still have that rounded appearance. Cheap tvs come in a variety of types. It is now possible to get a cheap LCD tv or a cheap plasma tv.

Cheap tvs come in all sorts of prices. Price depends on the make, the style, the size, and where it was purchased. This is especially true when purchased on the internet. A person can buy a cheap tv for a couple hundred pounds.

Cheap is cheap when it comes to purchasing either a plasma or an LCD tv. It really does not make a difference. LCD tvs come in bigger sizes than what they used to and now their prices are very competitive with the plasmas. Plasmas are well known for their enormous sizes available to the average consumer. The two types are two totally different technologies. A plasma tv uses hundreds of thousands of individual pixel cells. LCD televisions have liquid-crystal filled cells. These cells are between two sheets of glass. the crystals untwist when they are hit by an electrical charge in order to filter light provided by a lamp.

Most cheap televisions are not made to last long. after a few years the tv will begin to have problems. This is generally true of both LCD and plasma tvs. The picture may grow darker, the picture fuzzy and unclear, or it may stop working completely. Taking it to a repair shop is out of the question. The cost of repairing these tvs will usually cost more than the tv is worth.

That leaves the option of buying another tv. The consumer basically lost the money spent on the first tv and now more good money must be paid for another television. It seems like the buyer has paid double. If the consumer buys another cheap tv, the cycle keeps continuing. The cheap comes out expensive. Companies are making big bucks on people doing this.

Maybe buying a top-brand television is the answer. Sure, they are more expensive when you buy them, but what about in the long run? Name-brand tvs are better made than the cheap tvs are. They will last many more years than the average cheap tv. The buyer should shop around on the internet and in stores for top of the line televisions at reasonable prices. The top-brand may cost more at first, but the buyer will actually save money in the end.
