Chebahs are small kangaroo like creatures. Contrary to popular belief Cheebahs are not marsupials but are a totally unique (some could say alien) species.
There is much speculation around when cheebahs were first discovered. It is believed that the Brisbane botanical gardens may have had a cheebah in their animal collection during the 1800s. If this were true this would make it the 1st known cheebah in captivity.
It is not know what cheebahs eat in the wild, as there have been so few verified sightings, Captive cheebahs are typically fond of fried chicken, tortilla chips and diet cola products.
Catching a wild cheebah is thought to be almost impossible due to their unique defense mechanism.
When threatened adult cheebahs are said to release a powerful aroma that subdues any predators that may want to eat it. The release mechanism is similar to the more common ground skunk.
Unlike the skunk this aroma is actually quite pleasurable to humans, its thought that the cheebahs defensive aroma actually relaxes its predators to a state where it is no longer bothered about eating it.
In the wild cheebahs seem to get satisfaction out of using their aroma to subdue their predators. After spraying a predator the cheebah will hop to cover whilst making a noise that can only be likened to an acoustic version of rappers delight. (See the music player at the right of this page). Nobody is quite sure why the cheebah makes this unique noise but it is believed to that sugar hill gang were one of the first successful cheebah breeders
