Chief Tom Saccenti announces that Officer James Weaver III has completed the Core Criminal Investigations program

Chief Tom Saccenti announces that Officer James Weaver III has completed the Core Criminal Investigations program.

Chief Tom Saccenti is proud to announce that Officer James Weaver IIi has successfully completed the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy Core Criminal Investigators Program. Chief Tom Saccenti states that this is a 40 hour course designed to improve the investigative skills of investigative officers.

The 40 hour course is the first step toward meeting the departments goal of achieving the Master Criminal Investigator level for Officer Weaver according to Chief Saccenti. "When we see officers like Jim step up to the plate and attend a course like this, it is clear that they want to become better officers so that they can serve their community even better".

Chief Tom Saccenti says that this will not be the last person to attend the Core Criminal Investigators program. It is his intent to send two more officers through this program and then to send 3 additional officers through the OPOTA evidence Technician school. "As our officers become more trained, they naturally become more professional and efficient. They learn new ways of looking at problems and become independent problem solvers" says Chief Tom Saccenti.

We are very proud of Jim Weaver and look forward to seeing him move on in his career. He is a motivated individual and wants to do whatever he can to become a better police officer, not only for himself, but for his campus community.It is an honor and a privilege to have him employed with our agency.
