Again like anything else you are in the market to buy a washer and dryer all depends on what it is that you are looking for and whether you want gas or electric. Do you live in a apartment or do you have a house.
If you live in a apartment there are not too many choices for you. one of the choices would be the washer and dryer that can be stacked on top of each other. This is a unit that has the washer on the bottom and the dryer on top. They are meant to be one on top of the other so that space is saved at the same time allowing you to have the benefits of having a washer and dryer in your apartment and not using a lot of power.
If you live in a house then your choices of what type of washer and dryer to buy is wide open. Since there are so many different types and colors to choose from. you will have to decide if you want a top loading washer, or a front loading washer. And yes there are some slight difference's in how each washer will wash your clothing. But even if you think it is getting hard to find just what you are looking for, you should be glad that we no longer have to use the wringer washer like our parents once did.
A wringer washer did the work of a washer and a dryer. But it was a dangerous washer to use because once the wash was finished you had to hold the piece of clothing in your hand and feed it though the wringer that was part of the washer. The ringer acted like a dryer in that it would smash most of the water out of your clothing but it would not get it one hundred percent dry so you would still have to hang the clothes on the line.
Some times people would get their fingers stuck in the wringer and suffer serious injury such as having their hands smashed. That is why as the years went by the wringer washer was replaced with our new state of the art washers and dryers that you see now.
Besides being practical, they come in many very pretty colors and sizes.
