A good medium range that is comfortable would be 500 or 700 thread count. These will be quality sheets without being outrageously expensive. When considering sheets, you should also look to see what materials they are made of. The most comfortable sheets will have a high cotton percentage with a satin finish.

Comforters are also available in a wide variety of materials. Microfiber comforter sets have recently become quite common as it is lightweight and not too heavy. If you live in a warmer climate, this may be a good choice for you as it will let cooler air in. Down comforter sets have been around for years and are still as popular as ever. They are very comfortable and this is an affordable option, although if you are susceptible to allergies, this is probably not the way to go.

You will want to choose bedding sets that will suit the ambiance and colour scheme of your bedroom. Earthy tones are a common choice for bedrooms as they are more natural. Blue and greens are soothing and white is always peaceful and calming. Before you make a bedding purchase, you must consider the colour of your walls, flooring and furniture to ensure that what you choose will coordinate and enhance the colour scheme you have chosen.

Most bedding sets come with a variety of accessories. You need to determine which ones you prefer and which do not matter so much. Some bedding sets will come bundled together at a set price while others will require you to purchase each piece separately. This can get quite expensive, so it all depends on how much money you wish to invest. Of course, pillow cases are a must, and some will also come with a duvet cover. Bed skirts are useful to complete the look of your bedding set and hide the things you may have stored underneath your bed. Other things that are commonly included in a set would be sheets and different decorative pillows.

Keep in mind that you need to purchase a comforter set that is the same size as your bed, whether it is twin, king, queen or even larger again. These beds are all different sized and each needs a different bedding set.
