Choosing The Right Nursing Career Path To Take

LPN stands for Licensed Practical Nurse while RN is for Registered Nurse and BSN is for Bachelors in Nursing. These three would decide your earning capacity in the future. Surely, when you work, you are also looking forward for some advancement and when you have the right level, this advancement would be easy for you. If you choose to have the level where advancement is not that easy, you simply have to exert more effort to continue your education until you will get the right qualifications for you to quality for any advancement in your position. You can become successful in any of the career paths that you choose as long as you do your best in performing your task. When it comes to the length of education, LPN could be completed for about a year. Entering the path for LPN requires your high school diploma. There are a lot of people who considers this path especially those who are limited in their financial capacity. Education is definitely an expensive investment and some could not afford to have longer years for their education. This is why LPN is advantageous since after a year, you will receive a diploma or a certificate that would help you apply for an entry-level nursing job. This way, you can now finance your own and stop relying on your parents. When it comes to becoming an RN, you need at least two years of education. When you go for this path, the program would involve both liberal arts and sciences. The advantage of being in the path of RN is the compulsory training required to every students. This way they will have a lot of hands-on experience in the nursing field. When you become an RN, you can now easily go for a bachelors degree. The jobs for these two levels could compensate you higher. This can help you earn well for more training that you wanted to take and could help you for some future career advancements.
Whatever career path you wanted to take, whats important is that you have a good plan for it. Do not just go for what you want without planning everything. Though your plans would not guarantee that you will become successful in the end, at least you will be able to lessen the chance that you will fail.
