In the UK there are three types of trim ranges available for the Citroen C1:

The Vibe - 3 or 5 door, this is the basic model and the cheapest. Only available with the 1.0i engine.

The Rhythm - 3 or 5 door, this trim has remote central locking, colour coded wing mirrors and two side airbags. The 1.4 HDi diesel and the 1.0i petrol engines were both available with this trim.

The Code - available in 3 or 5 door and with 1.4 HDi engine come 14inch alloy wheels, half leather trimmed seats, chrome interior trim inserts and glove box cover.

There are also two special editions available:

The Cool - based on the Vibe, adding Air Conditioning and blue seat fabrics/dashboard inserts, available in Lipizan White or Damas Blue.

The Airplay - based on the Rhythm, adding full iPod connectivity, iPod cradle, a 4 GB iPod Nano and coloured dashboard inserts and door pulls. Early models were available with bright, swirling decals.

Breakdown statistics reported by the German Automobile Club in May 2010 placed the Citron C1 at the top of the sub-small car class in respect of the low break-down rates achieved for cars aged between 1 and 4 years.

The ride is very firm for a small car that's designed to spend most of its life in the city. It does handle well and manages to keep body lean in check when the going gets twisty, with modest grip abilities.

The cabin of the Citroen C1 is funky and well built. The Citroen C1 was developed alongside the Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo, like those cars the Citroen C1 has seen very few complaints about the reliability of its mechanicals or engines with glowing reports from owners in the 2010 JD Power customer satisfaction survey.

The anti-lock braking system has a feature that's designed to keep the car stable whether you hit the brake pedal on a straight road or in the middle of a bend. Two front airbags are standard in every model. Curtain bags and stability control are available as a package on the VTR+.
