City Seasons Muscat strengthens team with the addition of EAM
Muscat February 2011 The upcoming City Seasons Hotel Muscat has appointedTim Van Veen as executive assistant manager in charge of food and beverage.
Van Veen began his career in a coffee shop in Bournemouth, England which is where his passion for the hospitality industry took hold.
He attended the Maastricht School for Hotel Management, in the Netherlands, whilst doing two Internships for Radisson Blu in Beijing, China and Manchester, England.
After successfully graduating from Maastricht Hotel School, Van Veen was soon snapped up by the Rezidor Hotel Group as assistant and acting food and beverage manager in Iran for the Dariush Grand Hotel.
Shortly after his start in the hospitality industry, Van Veen was head hunted to join the Radisson Blu Resort in Sharjah, UAE, where he continued as assistant food and beverage manager, for two years. He was then asked to move to Muscat, Oman as food and beverage manager for the opening of another Radisson Blu Hotel.
Following a spell in Egypt and Jordan opening two more hotels, Van Veen then moved with Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts to Abu Dhabi, where he took the opportunity to become executive assistant manager in charge of food and beverage, successfully opening the new Radisson Blu Hotel, on Yas Island, in time for the Abu Dhabi Formula 1.
After another two successful years with Radisson Blu Hotels, Van Veen has now moved back to Muscat, Oman to become the executive assistant manager in charge of food and beverage as part of the before and after opening team for City Seasons Hotel Muscat, where there is no doubt that he will turn it into another successful operation.
