Advancement in technology started to happen during the 60's and exciting new technologies

like satellite TV programming and introduction of color television began toevolvearound late 60's. It really amuses me when I watch 60's and 70's shows on my high definition Verizon FIOS TV; thinking about all the latest high-end technology surrounding us and the amount of entertainment we get, in comparison to the viewers of late 60's.Popular TV shows of 60's/70s, rich in digital picture quality, lost most of the image data by the time it reached the viewerstelevision. It was really hard to experience a TV show with real-time images in those days.

For instance, let me share my experience on how I was left spellbound when watching a classic 60s show on an improved technology. A few days back when I was surfing through channels, I happened to get a glimpse of the famous supernatural-themed sitcom - Bewitched. It was so bewitching that I used the Video on Demand option on my Verizon FIOS TV and got both the original black and white and colorized series of first & second season.

Bewitched is about a young-good looking witch who meets a mortal, falls in love and marries him. She tries to forsake her supernatural powers and lead a normal life of a typical suburban housewife. But later, she succumbs to her magic family which often interferes in the couple's lives, especially the mother who is the chief antagonist. So, once again she starts using her magical powers to protect her husband who is often a victim of spells cast by her magic family. Apart from the married couple, many other characters on the show are often bound by spells woven by witches and warlocks (the male counterpart of Witch). This is one great show Id suggest you all to watch and it leaves your funny bone tickling forever. There have been several popular culture references to this show. Noted sitcoms like My Favorite Martian, The Nanny, Roseanne, Family Guy, The Simpsons and many others shows have used famous quotes from this show. Bewitched enjoyed huge popularity during its debut season and is still a swell.

Im yet to watch the rest of the colorized versions of this great classic comedy TV show and without any compromise on resolution and picture quality.
