After the cleaning process is over, a vacuum cleaner is used to remove the solvent. The carpet is left to dry for about 30 minutes to an hour. The cleaning solvent is sticky and so will not be completely removed on vacuuming. This is why bonnet cleaning method leaves a residue and attracts dust with time. You can get better results if you steam clean your carpet instead of bonnet cleaning method. If there is more time in hand, it is better to steam clean your carpet.
