Clicker Training 4 Secrets to Becoming a Supertrainer Review
Clicker Training 4 Secrets to Becoming a Supertrainer Review
I wrote this Clicker Training 4 Secrets to Becoming a Supertrainer review in hopes of shining some light on the pros and cons of the program. First and foremost, the product is a well written account from Morton and his wife Ceilce, which does provide valuable information that WILL lead to your dog being clicker trained if followed.
That being said, I found you have to follow the guide step by step. Don't rush through it; take the time to do it properly. When I was reading through, I noticed how much excruciating detail the writers would go into, and was quite pleased with the purchase. Unlike other products I've bought in the past (I have two devilish lab puppies,) this one actually took my hand and guided me through the process.
Luckily for me, the Clicker Training 4 Secrets to Becoming a Supertrainer was just recently released in English (from its Scandinavian origins,) because of the huge success rate it was providing. The whole premise of the program boils down to using a clicker in combination with firm obedience training to provide your dog with a structured approach to the rules you set. This whole clicker thing isn't new (been used widely and often in the past, especially in Zoos and aquarium shows for various animals.) But it seems to work especially well with dogs.
I didn't know too much about the power of positive reinforcement, especially in relation to my dogs, before I decided to buy this product. The ebook did really go into detail on the subject, promising fast results if you're persistent with it. While one of my dogs took on to the new system immediately, the other needed more time to get accustomed. But things are getting better, as long as I don't deviate from the step by step guide. Persistence is really the key.
The authors attempt to coach you through your dog(s) thought processes, and mention the common pitfalls that most owners fall into. In essence, it will teach you to become the top dog, or "alpha dog," in order to gain your dog's respect. From my experience, it really does work.
I stand behind my purchase. It was really decent of them to throw in a few bonuses too (which you can check out at their Clicker Training 4 Secrets to Becoming a Supertrainer site.) The offer a money back promise, but I didn't take advantage of because I thought it was a worthy investment. After all, it did train my dogs, all that's all I could possibly ask for!
