Clubswan Report On Yet Another Successful Yachting Holiday In The British Virgin Islands

ClubSwan, the social club for owners of Nautors Swan yachts as well as the friends

and families of Swan yachts owners, recently reported on yet another successful ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The event took place between 12th and 17th March 2012 and according to all reports this trip was well-enjoyed by all travellers which described it as the ultimate yachting holidays in the British Virgin Islands. Spokesperson for Nautors Swan, Ettore Mattiello, reflected on the event stating, the 2012 ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous was another successful event for Nautors Swan with a complete commitment to enjoyment by both participants and organisers. A full mix of fun racing and socialising with old and new Swan family friends in the warmth of the Caribbean sun and sea made 2012 a great Caribbean Rendezvous year.

Following a welcome party at Bitter End Yacht Club participants settled into various levels of sailing activities along the beautiful archipelago with stops at Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island, Jost Van Dyke and Marina Cay. It was not all about sailing as intermittent stops for some fun filled onshore parties and local events made for a well rounded experience.

Day three, for example, saw participants enjoy a visit on the secluded island Sandy Cay for a real taste of a luxurious Caribbean getaway complete with snorkelling. One participant summed up his experience stating, once again we had a great time doing the Rendezvous on the Swan 53. This was our second time and it was nice to meet up with old friends from last year. We will be looking forward to next years event.

Those who took part in this years event will acknowledge that the scenic atmosphere and ideal conditions at the British Virgin Islands made a significant contribution to the memorable experience that they enjoyed.

The BVI- a British overseas territory- are ideally located to the east of Puerto Rico and consist of the main islands- Tortola (the largest island), Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke along with approximately fifty other small islands. Sailing enthusiasts have long sought out this island chain which boasts of calm Caribbean waters and a soothing steady breeze- the two key factors which make a sailing holiday in the British Virgin Islands a real treat for anyone interested in the sport.
