Cnc Machining Technology And Engineering
CNC machining as the name suggests stands for Computer Numerical Control Machining
. CNC machining is a method of controlling machine tools to create sometimes basic and sometimes very complicated parts that can be used in almost any industry.
Keeping up with the pace of industry and adapting Computer Numerical Control Machining works is the logical thing to do if you are in need of precise machining of your casting or product.
CNC machining helps us do all these tasks required in a faster and better manner. There are various aspects that are involved in Computer Numerical Control Machining. Paying due attention to each and every aspect plays a vital role in defining the quality of work. Lets have a look at few key factors of
CNC Machining.
Gear Cutting is a process through which a gear is created commonly from metal, wood and plastic. Gears are cut with a proper procedure. This procedure has various processes like hobbing, machining and broaching. Shaping, entending, casting, forging etc also form a part of Gear cutting process. A hob or shaper cutter is usually used to cut these Gears. The prime way of cutting a gear in Computer Numerical Control Machining is hobbing. Being a generating process, Hobbing gradually removes the metal to take out gear teeth. Various kinds of gear hobs are used for Gear cutting like Involute Gear Hob, Involute Spline, Sprocket Hobs, Worm Wheel Hobs, Serration Hobs etc. These Hobs being different in nature play varied tasks used in their respective places.
Fabrication:
As the name itself says it's a manufacturing process wherein an item is created from raw or semi- finished materials instead of readymade components being used. It is another component of Computer Numerical Control Machining which is commonly used for all operations done on comparatively thin plates. Stating an example, in a metal filling cabinet where all major components are made of steel sheets, shearing to size is done. Holes are punched, finally for getting these sheets into shape they are bent and converted. All these operations performed come under
fabricating. process of Computer Numerical Control Machining. CNC and fabricating always go hand in hand. Both are deeply interconnected to each other. Fabrication includes casting, shipping, drawing, extension, forging, hydro forming etc. Electrical, Hydraulics, prototyping, Sub Contract Manufacturing are all higher level specializations of fabrication.
What are the steps require?
All the processes associated with CNC machining require not only compliance but also experience having an experienced mind/team working on it is very important. Abco Precision has a very experienced team working on all CNC projects. For more information please visit us at
