College Memories

I never expected myself to be so popular in the college

. It was not coz of any special achievement but just because' of the group that I was part of. It was a group which was formed in the college canteen. The two founder of the group, Ashish Reddy and Mahesh Gawli, were there in the canteen and trust me they were not at all best buddies then. They hardly knew each other and both were in the same class.

When they were in the canteen with their respective friends, there happened to be a fight in there. A senior college student was trashing a junior student and the reason was just because he accidently fell on the senior guy. This two guys, Ashish and Mahesh couldnt see this and they tried calming the senior down, which didnt go down well with the senior guy. He even started pushing and hitting Mahesh. It was hardly seconds when the whole scenario changed when the tides shifted. They both got hold of the student and escorted him out of the college. We came to know later that he was well treated outside the college. Since then they were most sought after guys in the college. They decide to put their popularity into good use and started a group together to help distressed student. For me the invitation to the club came surprisingly, I mean once they saw me helping a fellow student reach the class since he was using crutches and was getting late for his exams. Only after guiding him to his class and I went for my exams, though I was least concerned about my exams.

I was the third person to be in the group and this made me popular. After me joining the group, there are many people who wanted to join but since we were not in to social service, we took their contact numbers and address and said if they are needed they would be informed via. call or a letter. There were many issues which students faced like failing to submit the form in time. Since we were really appreciated for our works by the management, if we presented any such case it was cleared by them. So in all it was because of this group I was popular in the college. This recap was coz just because I met Mahesh the other day when I was out for a picnic.

I met him at Panoramic resort when I was there with my family. It was a total surprise to meet him there, and he was there under some investment scheme from Panoramic Universal Limited (PUL). It was coz of him I relived all those college days. The fact which I forgot to mention earlier was that I got married to a girl who was junior to me in college. I met her through this group and it was my work which made her love me. So hadnt been Mahesh and Ashish, no group would have formed and I wouldnt have met Ria, my wife, and wouldnt have this beautiful time in life.
