College Ragging --- A Harsh Reality

This article is intended for students who are going to take admission and joining any college. First of all I would like to warn you that though theoretically Ragging is banned from colleges and universities all over the world, practically it exists almost everywhere. And one more thing, even the Elite Business Schools, Engineering Colleges and medical schools (I am talking about top 20 in every field) have some sort of ragging. Many of you wont buy this argument, but I would say even I couldnt believe what I saw in a top notch business school in UK. I run an Academic Services Company http://www.essayauthors.com/ which provides assignment help and project help to college students. So I was there in UK just to have an informal interaction with those freshers. I decided to leave the hotel and stay for a few days with freshers. And then the horror days began. I was living in an apartment with four guys (Indian, American, African ) and two girls (Chinese And British.) Except for the British girl, everybody was called for ragging by seniors. And the ragging was physical. Slapping, molesting, abusing was a daily chorus. I didnt believe that post graduate students were behaving in such a stupid manner. I could not do anything because the seniors were very careful not to rag any native British student. For rest of students, I think the authority didnt care. Even the Americans were not spared. This all happened in broad day light. In the evening I saw two Sikh students being asked to open their Turban and their hair were lit up by spraying petrol. I could not do anything. I thought enough is enough and then I came to the apartment. I went to wash basin, there a few senior girls with that Chinese girl. And to my surprise she was eating a Snake. I asked those girls that was this also a part of ragging. Thankfully she told me that she was just having her food. In my next article I will explain how to avoid ragging and also maintain good relations with seniors which would go long way in building good professional relationship and network.About the Author:
