Common Advertising Mistakes On Free Classified Sites

, it is important that you follow a few simple rules along the way. This will allow your ad to be accepted by the webmaster, but it will also make people WANT to click your link - which is the point of any ad! First off, don't place the entire ad as a whole into the ads. Make sure you make it alluring, somewhat secretive. In other words, don't give everything away right away. Make people curious enough to click the link in the ad! Next, if you don't know what your ad should include or how to write an ad you can do one of two things.

First off, you can get someone else to write it for you. Or you can get a template if someone selling the same thing as you. Don't copy their ad! Just look at how they have it set up and go from there. Third off, you need to find the right place to post free ads. Frankly, I would suggest posting the ad on a few different free ads sites. This will guarantee that you get maximum exposure for all your hard work! Fourth, you need to consider WHERE to post the ad. Make sure you place it in the right category. Not only will this help the people that are looking for your ad, but it won't annoy the people NOT looking for your ad.

For example, if you are selling laptops and you post it in the jobs section, the people looking for laptops won't find you and the people looking for jobs will find you - and probably wouldn't want to. No offense, but if I'm looking for a job, the last thing I want to see is someone posting an ad about a laptop! Fifth, consider how you post the ad. Don't make it super long, don't use neon or bright colors that are blinding, and don't make your font TOO big on the classified ads. Most sites will have an editor for the ad. This editor will LET you choose big fonts and bright colors, but that doesn't mean you should.

Try to use a font that is easy to read as well - something like Times Roman or Arial. Also, be sure to add your link and pictures. So many people forget these things. They spend so much time with the ad, they forget the other visual basics! If you do all of these things, you will be able to post a really nice, creative, and unique ad to your peers.
