Common Causes of Insomnia Part 2

Are you one of those unfortunate people who does not seem to know how to or are not capable of getting a good night sleep at the proper time? We know you are such in a difficult situation. And you would want to understand the root cause of this problem. Insomnia is known to be a problem rooting from several factors. These factors include both psychological and physical issues. More often than not, to put a finger on the main reason for one's insomnia, one would need to consult a professional about it. To explain further, the sleep disorder could be caused by the following categories: drug consumption, environmental changes, and psychological conditions.

We all know that one side effect of drugs is sleeplessness. Whatever type of stimulant one takes in targets the brain and causes you to have a hard time sleeping. If you noticed, you experience sleeplessness whenever you have had too much coffee during the day. The same applies to when you consume excessive amounts of drinks that contains caffeine. And you know that caffeine keeps you awake. If you want to make sure you get the sleep that you want, easy and uninterrupted, avoid the following: cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, whatever type of herbs, ephedrine, and taurine. These stuff are definitely a no-no.

People also tend to get sleepless nights when their regular routine, the one they have been used to for a long time, gets disrupted. Thus, insomnia is very common to people who frequently travel. Although there are cases also that does not require changing locations. Sometimes stuff like changing pillows, or sleeping with the lights on, or leaving the TV on could significantly affect one's sleep.

Lastly, people who are experiencing psychological ailments such as anxiety and depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD (or post-traumatic stress disorder) and OCD (or obsessive compulsive disorder) are also prone to being insomniac. Even the low types like mere stress or whatever tension could also lead to insomnia.

While some people already got used to the disorder, newcomers often find a hard time adjusting to the situation. Good thing, help is always available.
