If the address is not the site it is supposed to be do not click on it. This is a simple yet very effective way of avoiding being tricked into installing malicious software.

Following these steps can not only stop your computer running slow but can help you to prevent getting malware on your computer as well. If you are unfortunate enough to already suffer from a slow PC and suspect it is already infected run a full antivirus scan. If this does not fix it run a full scan with a system and registry scanner to remove all traces of malware from your PC.
