Conference Organized on Colors of Healthcare- GHP for Proficient Hospitals

The conference on "Colors of Healthcare- Good Handling Practices for Proficient Hospitals" was organized by Max Medisupport, held at Hotel La Marvella, Bangalore and around 150 people participated in the conference.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. G. Ravindran, President- BMESI with the Lamp Lightening session along With the Dr. Amit Nath, Chairman & MD- Max Medisupport Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Kajal Sharma- Director- Ops.

During the Presentation of Dr. G. Ravindran, he emphasized on the proper and safe handling of hospital equipments. He also mentioned on the importance of regular maintenance of equipments and training of the staff at the user end.

Mr. Ashoke Chakrabartty, GM- Biomedical, Apollo Indraprastha, Delhi emphasized on the safe handling of equipments in a hospital so as to minimize the handling accidents and maximize the efficiency. He also mentioned about the type of current, voltages and frequencies produce harm or death to patients and explained if hospital equipments can handled as per GHP then the issue of safe handling will not exist. He appreciated the initiative of Dr. Amit Nath to introduce these standards for Healthcare Industry.

The session then moved to the informative presentation of Dr. Kumara Swamy, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, CyberKnife-IGRT Centre-HCG, during which he introduced the concept of Hyperthermia, technology, and robotic un-invasive cancer treatment method through Cyberknief. He mentioned about automation in healthcare industry which leads to increase in efficiency and high throughput. He also emphasized on the role of advancement in technology with proper handling reducing the errors and increasing the efficiency.

Dr. Ashutosh K. Mundkur, AVP- Quality, Sutures India presented on the role of Certifications and Good Handling Practice implementation required in healthcare Industry and mentioned that the growth of healthcare industry is possible through efficient implementation of GHP and certification leading to quality improvement. Awareness of rights of the patients as per quality accreditations bodies lead to more and more growth of healthcare industry because of the patients demands and knowledge about the services they are supposed to get. Now to meet such requirements Good Handling Practices shall be of help to Hospitals/ organizations as well as the patients.

During the panel discussion Dr. Mudit Saxena, Director- Fortis Hospital, Cunnigham Road have put light on the right people for right technology where he mentioned that People at the user end should know how to handle the equipments and he also mentioned about importance of GHP for efficiency increase. Mr. Marian Jayson, Manager- HR- HCG Mentioned about the retention method of the techno experts and also emphasized the need of regular training of these masters. Dr. Mudit Saxena Mentioned that implementation of GHP will be fast if the hospitals owners take a call on the right decision and awareness of the GHP importance should pass from the management to the staff and not the other way around.

The last talk of the day was an eye opening session by Dr. Amit Nath, Chairman & MD- Max Medisupport Pvt. Ltd. who introduced the concept GHP and explained why GHP is required in the healthcare Industry and how it can benefit the hospitals on cost saving and better services and he also explained the concept Humashine and set Zero standard for Humans if proper implementation of GHP is done in Healthcare. He also explained how each hospital can equally efficient in services with GHP implementation irrespective of the size of the hospital and capital investment of it. He awakened every one by saying that GHP are the standards created on Indian soil and it is created keeping Indian Healthcare Scenario of Small clinic to Big Corporate Hospitals at the core.
