Marmite; you either love it or hate it. And it seems that some cars are marmite cars, being loved and hated in equal measure by the general public since the years of their birth onto the market.

The Mazda RX-8 is styled boldly and a firm favourite among a lot of buyers but on paper it is gas guzzling and generally awkward to drive.

The Nissan cube is often mocked in the UK as it looks a little bit like a mechanical cow. It even comes with optional grass to stick on the dashboard; a weird and unnecessary feature in any vehicle. It's very Japanese and is therefore favoured in Asia where the markets are a little more forgiving, however the car is being introduced into the UK market and are being seen across London.

The Mitsubishi Evo has a very weird look to it, but if you can get passed this is deemed to be a great car to drive with fast pace and a great knack for taking corners. The vehicle is favoured on the rally circuit and therefore less likely to be seen on the roads, but it's also a popular one amongst drivers who love the Subaru.

The Toyota IQ, another Japanese made car is a great ideas; small and nippy and eco friendly enough to escape the congestion charge, yet its failing is that it is essentially a Toyota Aygo, but costs an extra two grand. Its a shame, because if they adjusted the pricing it would be great for the city; quick and able to fit in to the smallest of parking spaces and turn the tightest of corners.

The Renault Espace is a mum's dream wagon and was marketed as innovative with great extras and gadgets, yet owners have polled it as the least reliable car on record. Which doesn't really help recent sales figures. Its a shame as there is a lot of space for football kits, dogs and a whole weeks family shop.

If you are driving a car on the roads in the UK then compare Car Insurance Online for deals. You will find them cheaper here than over the phone, and could grab yourself a bargain!
