No one is going to stick around and read copy that they can't make out. You might think of it as making several different pieces of copy in one. Lots of white space in your copy makes it much easier to see and people will respond to it better. You should always set the goal of offering copy that doesn't confuse and instead educates your reader about the product.


Copy should never sound like your showing off your vocabulary. You are simply trying to tell your prospects that your products are something they need. It's not the time to impress them with your language but rather talk to them through words. Just write like you are talking to a friend. The more easy-going and comfortable you look to your prospect, the more confident you'll come out. This will solidify a bond between you and the prospect. The more clear you can make the product seem, the better people will respond to your copy. Your copy is essentially a person who goes out and sells for you. If you make it too dry, and write like you're writing an essay, it would become too daunting for anyone to read it, let alone act on it.

When writing your copy, remember to be specific. This is true for your entire page, including the headline and sub headlines as well as the body. People are not looking for generalities about a product. In order to make a buying decision and to actually believe in the solution you're offering, you have to give away specific points that explain things in a detailed way. This will increase your credibility and make people believe what you are saying. There are exceptions, but in most cases your best approach is to be generous with targeted facts and details. Having your prospect aware of all the benefits of your product is key and this is what copywriting expresses. While this art takes some time to really be easy for you it is also a reality.
