Every computer belonging to a network includes unique logical and numerical identifiers also known as the IP or internet protocol address. Any type of device that links or joins in a given network is given its designated IP address.

An IP address is usually kept in the form of binary numbers. These are also presented in numerical form to keep them understandable and readable by human beings.
