Creating a Christian Blog Background of Your Own

Creating a Christian Blog Background of Your Own

Sometimes in our blogging experience we want to have some fun creating our own Christian blog background. We don't need to have extensive background to create a great background that we could use. So, what do we need to do in designing a Christian blog background?

Make sure you have all the things you need

You need an image editor such as Photoshop or other related programs like Gimp.

An image which will become your Christian blog background

Once you have gathered all the things you need, create a new project and set it up with a size of 1650x1000 pixels.

Edit the project

On the Photoshop interface or related program, you will find a button that will open a new layer window. If you cannot find the button, refer to the manual or instructions on the "help" button included in the product interface.

Once the layer window is open, you may now choose the color you want your blog center to take form and fill the entire background with that color. Open the image which you prepared on the initial step and this will become the image on the side bars. Don't forget to crop the image down to the size of 450x1000 pixels then cut this image and paste it onto the colored background that you made earlier. Keep 665 pixels on the mid section because this is the part where you will read the text on your blog.

Every time you paste a new image on the background, always make sure that you open a new layer so that it will be easier to navigate on the images later on. You can also find it easier and more convenient to resize and crop or edit the image according to your preferences without touching the entire background.

Spice it up

Your creativity will guide you through this process as you add decorations and other spices like borders.

Once you are through with the design, make sure you save it twice first as an XCF file so that it'd be easier to edit later on and second as a JPEG. You are then done creating your own Christian blog background that you can flaunt in your website.
