Most elderly people have two of everything they use and want

. They can be the hardest to buy for on the holidays and birthdays. Therefore, here are a few ideas of crepe paper crafts to make for the elderly.

Many elderly people have dementia or Alzheimer's and they have a difficult time remembering things about their past and sometimes whom there family members even are. It is very sad but you can help them, there are a few crepe paper crafts to make for the elderly that they will enjoy and maybe even have an easier time remembering people and certain things.

Pictures are very important to elderly people it helps to jog their memories. You can make a collage of photos using a piece of sturdy cardboard, cover it in a color that is soothing like a light blue or light pink and attach a few pictures to the board. Either above or under each picture write the name and even if the picture was taken at one. You can also write the relationship to the person. Do not overload the board because they may confuse them as well.

You can also make them a beautiful calm colored gift with a few flowers for a centerpiece. You want them to enjoy the gift not be overwhelmed by how busy or large it is.

Photo albums are another great gift especially for the elderly people who still remember who everyone in their life is. Pick up a plain photo album and place the pictures inside and you can and probably should add the names of the people. Cover the photo album in crepe paper and if it is for a woman, you can make and put a small crepe paper flower on the front of it.

If they have a sweet tooth you could make them, a jar filled with candy or even nuts. Just wrap the jar in crepe paper fill it with the item and put the lid on. Now make a paper flower and attach it to the lid.

Trinket boxes are a great idea too. All you need is a small box, crepe paper and a decoration to put on the lid. You can use a flower, or even a carton from a newspaper that you think he or she may enjoy. Cover the box with the crepe paper and place the flower, picture or whatever item you know they will like on the top of the box.
