It is also their responsibility to create backup files once in a while to prevent any loss of data in case a problem occurs. They need to be responsible and attentive at everything to make sure that it is running smoothly. Any downtimes or problems on the database can cause huge problems to the company.

As you can see, these professionals are very important in the technology industry but they are not so popular since they are working behind the scenes.
