I was the world's worst procrastinator. It was my method of operation to arrive anywhere 5 minutes past the scheduled time. I actually upset me that people assumed I would be late, even though I knew that I would be, too. I started surfing the web looking for ways to beat my procrastination habit as it had crossed over into other parts of my life. I found the website called Defeating Procrastination covered everything I needed to break free.

This system developed by world renown personal success coach, Lee Milteer, provided me with the tools I needed to overcome my annoying and, for lack of a better term, self-destructive habit.

I learned that my reasons for being chronically late stemmed from something other than mis-managing my time. I realized that because I was always running late that I became stressed and irritable, and at times, even angry. This program helped me identify that the reason I could not manage my time properly was in part because I was, in fact, stressed and irritable in the first place.

I needed to prioritize my activities and set time limits for myself. Each person is different, but this system will identify strengths and weaknesses of each individual and deal with them accordingly.

I also learned that I am an impatient person. I hadn't acknowledged that in the past because I didn't see myself that way, but it became clear that one reason I didn't not allow myself sufficient time to get anywhere was because I didn't want to have to wait on anyone else after I arrived. I always wanted the action to start the moment I arrived. I didn't anticipate traffic, trains, or anything else that might slow me down.

Defeating Procrastination helped me change my way of thinking and make up a time-budget system for myself. Once I started following my new budget a lot of things changed for me. I discovered that a leisurely drive to my destination cut my stress level way down, partly because I knew that I was allowing for obstacles ahead of time.

As crazy as it sounds, I started sleeping and eating better as a result of these simple changes. My entire attitude changed for the better; it is actually quite unbelievable. This was a problem that I have had my entire adult live and this program gave me the tools I needed to conquer it once and for all!
