Diagnose Scabies Instantly
Scabies is a communicable skin condition which is caused due to the tiny parasitic organisms residing under the top layer of the skin. The condition can cause physical and visual irritation. By way of mite infestation scabies can have an effect on a big portion of the body including the genitals, feet, knees, shoulders and fingers of both women and men. You mostly need to look for physical or visual clues to determine whether you have scabies or not.
Notice the changes in your body, along with any sudden itching. Constant itching or severe physical irritation can also be a result of insect bite on the skin. The itching can worsen or increase, based on the severity of the problem. In most cases, the itching worsens at night, when the mites are highly active beneath the surface of skin. Record the times or the dates when the itching first occurred and then report it to your doctor at the earliest.
Look out for other signs such as bumps, lines, red marks or papules on the skin. Flesh-coloured or small white lines are evidence of burrows caused due to mite infestation. Bacteria-infected skin sores can also be caused due to intense scratching on the surface of the body. To visually corroborate the presence of mites, mite eggs and mite faecal matter, consult your doctor to spot mites. In most cases, the doctor would scrape the surface of the skin with the needle and confirm the presence of scabies. Once the scabies are confirmed, the doctor would prescribe medications accordingly.
