Dialects And Korean Translation

The Korean language is mainly prevalent in North Korea

, South Korea, some parts of China and United States too. The only difference is that it might not be spoken as fluently in the US as in Korea due to the influence of other cultures on the Korean-speaking population. It is the official language for North and South Korea and is called by several names in different places where it is spoken. All these factors do have some effect on the Korean Translation.

This language has many dialects called mal, saturi or bang-eon in Korean. The standard Korean language used in South Korea is founded on the dialect of the neighboring region of Seoul. The standard Korean for North Korea is derived from the dialect as spoken in and around Pyongyang. It seems that all dialects of Korean are almost the same, except the dialect used in Jeju Island. A few Korean linguists place this dialect as a separate language in itself.

These dialects differ with each other on the use of stress while speaking. The Seoul dialect speakers employ a minor stress and a normal South Korean has a flat tone while speaking. The Korean speakers using the Gyeongsang dialect take care to have a clear intonation. So if you have to do Korean Translation after listening to somebody speak, imagine your state if he is using a different dialect than you are comfortable with!

Simply leave this headache to a professional translation company so that your job is done quickly.
