In theory diesel engines and gasoline engines are similar. They are both internal combustion motors. The working principle is to convert chemical energy to mechanical energy. The chemical energy available in diesel and gasoline changes to mechanical energy. This mechanical energy moves up and down in the piston chamber. The pistons are connected to the crank shift. It controls the up and down motion of the pistons. It also recognize the linear motion, creates the rotary motion needed to rotate the prop on used trawler or motor.
Now a days diesel prices are increasing as an aftermath of spiraling demand. It is decreasing supply of diesel. So we should choose a cost effective fuel to power the vessels. Diesel motor has high power and can be used to control heavy vehicles. It was in vented in 1892. It was invented by Rudolph Diesel. He lived in Augsburg, Germany. The diesel engine proved to be extremely efficient. It is also cost effective. Rudolph Diesel was nearly killed in 1894. Then his prototype engine blew up. But that explosion established the diesel engine that can be ignited without need of spark plug.
Diesel motor is a truly bio fuel engine. The first engine of diesel was used to run on peanut oil mills. In fact diesel engine can be run into peanut oil, vegetable oil, synthetic oils etc. it also can be used in hydraulic fluids. Rudolf Diesel was experimented the earlier diesel engines by gun powder. Among these handling diesel engines by gun powder was laid.
When oil was discovered it was used as fuel of diesel engines. Diesel fuel is priced a bit higher than the gas but it can produce high power. Diesel is heavier and oilier than of gasoline. Diesel engines can be used in heavy loaded vehicles like track, lorry etc. it can also be used in sped boats.
