A chain saw is a fairly complex saw. It is portable, and uses a chain. As the chain spins faster and faster, powered by a motor, it gathers enough force to cut through a variety of objects. This saw has a small engine similar to a lawn mower, and is powered through a mixture of oil and gas. It uses no electricity like other traditional saw types.

Generally, a chain saw can last for years. You may occasionally have to sharpen the chain or purchase a new one. The engine can always be tuned up or repaired just like your lawnmower. A chain saw is built to last though, and one should last you for years. Proper care and maintenance will extend the lifespan of your chain saw.

People use chainsaws for a variety of purposes. Some people cut down trees in their yards or use it for their jobs. Loggers use them to take down the tree that may make paper or timber. Workers use them to clear lots for development or homes to be built on. This tool will help you get a tree down and get it processed into planks, have a bonfire, or make paper.

These carvings use various sizes, colors, and types of wood to create a sculpture. The carver will basically free hand a design and make a statue that most people could never even carve by hand. This isn't an easy hobby to pick up and takes much practice and mastering. Other people turn the chain saw into an all-in-one tool. Some people prefer to cut down unwanted shrubbery or bushes with them. Other people trim their hedges with them. The chain saw can take the place of a lot of tools you previously may have had to purchase.

Of course, as with any power tool, it is very important to understand the danger of it. Since this tool has a very sharp chain, and an engine that provides power, there is the possibility of being hurt or killed and a lot of people have. Don't let children use a chain saw; it's not a tool for them. As for any adult, be sure you understand how it works, and take caution when using it.

Whatever use you have a chain saw for, there are probably many more you can use it for. If you enjoy your chainsaw, take a look at starting the hobby of chain saw carvings. Or, take it and use it to trim your hedges, and those bushes out front you hate. But whatever you do, be sure to take good care of it and use it safely.
