Diploma In Aviation Management Is Very Alluring
Airline Operators are responsible for maintaining the welfare of the passengers during the flight
. These men are known as flight attendants, air hostesses, flight stewards, and cabin crew members. The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has initiated the process of licensing these persons in 1998 and identified them as cabin crew professionals in the Civil Aviation Regulations (CARS). Thus to work as a cabin crew member on any South African registered aircraft you should have in your possession a cabin crew members license. This license is applicable for life and will only be rejected if you flout SACAA regulations; however, flight attendants should update their qualifications regularly. A diploma in cabin crew is a very relevant qualification to become a professional on the flight.
Besides safety related obligations there are many other basic duties which are the essential duties of flight attendants. They include giving direction to the passengers about their seating arrangement, serving beverages and meals, helping in handling their baggage and maintaining safety regulations which involve the use of oxygen masks and seat belts.
The basic requirements are a pleasant personality and an equally pleasant looks. Passengers, very often, evaluate an operator of this industry by the level of customer service offered by the flight attendants and not by disguised safety service which they are capable of offering. The crew members should have the quality of dealing with various types of personality. At the same time, they should not only try to conform to the basic customer service, but also try to exceed the basic requirements.
The program of licensing for cabin crew normally spans over a 6 week period and involves both theoretical and practical training, some of which are very difficult. These evaluations include evacuation of the aircraft, swimming, fire fighting, equipment handling, security and aviation medicine, to name but a few. The final assessment is a theoretical examination. A diploma in aviation management is very relevant in this regard.
As the cabin crew position is highly sought after by many aspirants, preparing the flight attendant CV is very important. The employers do not spend more than 30 seconds to scan a CV. Thus a student should be aware of the skills and competencies which an airline looks for while recruiting cabin crew after the conclusion of any of the cabin crew courses. These skills should be prominently highlighted in your CV so that the reader can view them easily while scanning very fast. Your resume must grab the attention of the reader and persuade him or her to go on reading. To attain this, you are required to follow some guidelines.
A cabin crew CV should be limited to a maximum of two pages. This will readily be achieved if you are aware of what to include and what to omit. The resume should involve key skills summary, summary of the professional career, the details of educational qualifications and training. You should use the black ink only and stay away from clutter retaining a simple layout, and maintaining a font size of 10 or 12 for the main body of the resume. The name of the candidate should be written at the top of the document with a font size of 14-16. One of the basic features of a good CV is consistency both in font size and font style. You will get to know all pros and cons of this career if you are a student of the Applied Professional Training institute, Kolkata.
