Diseases caused due to abnormally high HGH
Diseases caused due to abnormally high HGH
According to the famous old saying, "excess of everything is bad". The same is true in case of human hormonal levels as well. Speaking specifically of HGH (human growth hormone), while deficiency of HGH is one of the most frequently found hormonal disorders, health problems that arise due to abnormally high levels of HGH in the blood are also not uncommon. Based on the age groups, high levels of HGH can be categorized into two types:
1- High HGH levels in children
Excessive HGH secretion in children (which is extremely rare and usually results from a tumor of the pituitary gland) can result in gigantism. This condition can produce "giant children" with abnormally tall figure and stature. It is also associated with many other health problems.
2- High HGH levels in adults
In adults, some conditions (such as tumors) may cause excess secretion of HGH after puberty, and while this has little effect on skeletal (bone) growth, it can result in a condition known as acromegaly (abnormal growth of bones of the hands, feet and face).
What is acromegaly?
Acromegaly is one of the most common side effects of HGH abuse. The onset of this disorder begins with an overgrowth of bone and connective tissue that leads to a change in facial appearance, such as a protruding jaw and eyebrow bones. Acromegaly can also lead to abnormal growth of the hands and feet, and a shortened life expectancy.
A summary of other reported side effects of "artificial" HGH enhancement include:
Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar, risk of diabetic coma)
Glucose intolerance/ diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar)
Inproper thyroid function
Acromegaly (irreversible)
Heart enlargement (may be irreversible)
Heart damage (leading to heart failure or heart attack)
High blood pressure (hypertension)
Premature ageing and death (especially in the case of acromegaly)
Water retention (edema of swelling of your body parts)
Thickening of the skin
Abnormal hair growth (hirsutism)
Liver damage
Impotence (erectile dysfunction)
It should be remembered that many of these effects result from long-term "artificial" administration of HGH (especially through injections, sprays and capsules) and are irreversible. i.e. can't be corrected or eliminated. Some of the effects can even lead to life-threatening conditions or shorten life expectancy.
Unfortunately, there is an active black-market of various spam HGH products and in addition to the legitimate HGH preparations for medical use, there are counterfeits which may have few, if any, active ingredients and carry the risk of contamination. Some unsterile and dangerous counterfeits have also been reported. The best approach, therefore, is to use a natural, herbal and safe (& certified) HGH-boosting supplement (like HGH Advanced) that is reportedly and virtually free of any of such side effects and stimulates your thyroid gland naturally to produce more HGH rather than just filling your body with more and more HGH directly.
